Solar Protection IGU
The glass has the capability to reflect the sun energy and also absorb it and thus not let it into the room. These properties are typical mostly for the colored glass and the glass with special sunreflecting pyrolysed coating. Integrated into an insulating unit, this glass provides a reliable sun protection throughout the whole year.

Advantages:
- Low sun factor SF, solar protection and low air-conditioning costs during the summer season.
Disadvantages:
- High coefficient of heat transmission U due to missing energy saving inner glass. This is the reason why we recommend glazing with combined insulating units with the exception of buildings which are to be lived in only seasonally.
- Low light and heat access in the winter due to low LT factor and low SF factor. This engative effect can be avoided by using colored glass with no solar protection coating.
